The Metaning is a 22 page graphic novel, drawn for exhibition at gallery-wall scale - 113cmx82cm (44"x32"). The narrative is a meta-story - an autobiographical journey through the creation of the work itself, and into the psychological world of the artist who, in frustration, destroys and rebuilds the Earth as a response to the constraints of the "fine art" drawing culture within a traditional art school. The publication of this project was funded, in part, by the Australia Council's ArtStart Grant.
